![]() If you have Age of Empires 3 from Steam it will be installed in a different directory, so if you do and can't find the directory let me know! I know I repeated some things twice, but I was trying to be as clear as possible. (The data folder talked about earlier should be located inside Age of Empires 3 folder.) Paste the mods Age of Empires 3 folder in "Microsoft Games" and overwrite any files that it needs to. They use the example of the path C://Program Files/Microsoft Games/Age of Empires 3. Copy the mod folder " Age of Empires 3" and paste it into your Age of Empires 3 install directory. If you installed it through Steam it may be different. The name should match the name of your folder in your Age of Empires 3 install directory, which is Age of Empires 3 by default I believe. I haven't ever tried it so I don't know what files are included but it sounds like there is a folder called "age of empires 3". You will need it to uninstall the mod at a later time if you wish to. It is recommended to finish your current game before adding or updating mods. This is something anyone running any mod should know and most find out the hard way. The game becomes unstable beyond that point. ![]() To install: They recommend (and so do I) that you make a copy of your "data" folder in your Age of Empires 3 install directory. PS: Keep the number of mods you run to 30 or less.
